MC Auto Detailing didn't start in a fancy shop. It started in a driveway with a garden hose, a bucket, and whatever tools we could get our hands on. We detailed cars for friends, family, and neighbors. No advertising, no website, just word of mouth. People kept coming back because the quality spoke for itself.
Honestly, we still can't believe how far it's come. What started as something we did on weekends turned into a real business. People started referring us to their coworkers, their family, their dealerships. The demand grew to a point where the driveway wasn't cutting it anymore. We needed a real space.
About a year and a half ago, we signed the lease on 2043 O St in Lincoln, NE. Walking into an empty space and turning it into a fully equipped detailing shop was one of the best feelings we've had. We built the bay layout ourselves, picked every piece of equipment, and set up the drainage and lighting the way we wanted it. It's our space, and every detail about it was intentional.
Now the shop stays busy. Some weeks we're booked solid Tuesday through Sunday. We've gone from hoping someone would bring their car in, to having a schedule that fills up days in advance. And the crazy part? It's still just us. A father and son team that genuinely loves making cars look their best.
The People Behind MC Auto Detailing
I'm Ahmed, and I run MC Auto Detailing with my dad. He's the one who taught me to care about doing things the right way. Not cutting corners, not rushing, just doing quality work and letting the results speak. That's how we were raised, and that's how we run this business.
My dad works alongside me in the shop every day. He's the one making sure every floor mat is placed back perfectly, every door jamb is clean, every detail is right before the customer picks up. Between the two of us, nothing leaves the shop unless we're both satisfied with it.

When I'm not in the shop, I'm usually at the gym. Detailing is physically demanding, you're on your feet all day, scrubbing, bending, reaching into tight spaces. Staying fit helps me keep up with the work and keeps my energy up through long days.
